Not yet? Is lack of space your concern. Don’t worry, terrace gardening is becoming the new trend off late are health and fitness. If you love planting and enjoy the company of nature then you should definitely consider gardening.

Terrace gardening uses lesser Have space and lets you plant multiple varieties of fruits and vegetables using the vertical gardening method. Gardening has far more benefits than you think and is not just the means of connecting to nature but to indulge in a beautiful relationship with them.  It is said that getting out to your gardening or backyard one can burn up to 300 calories in about 30 to 40 minutes a day. This includes sitting, bending, walking, cutting and so on. Keeps you active and energetic throughout the day helping you concentrate and to perform better in your day to day activities.

Mint is very easy to grow and needs less care towards them. Just a stem and it grows by itself.

Health benefits are a major considering factor in gardening.  The convenience of safe, pesticide-free, organic produce such as fruits and vegetables that those plants offer are the best. The flowers that bloom are such a delightful sight to our eyes. Apart from all these it helps us to stay healthy with regular physical activities. It requires daily activities such as sitting, bending, walking, cutting and so on. Terrace gardening essentially increases the amount of oxygen in the air around us and reduces the carbon-di-oxide, pollutant content around us. Even though it’s a small amount of elimination you are still helping to reduce the carbon foot print around you. Those plants can even help in reducing sound pollution by absorbing them from and around it. They eventually increase the air quality and breathability.

Fruit plants are easy to grow  and  are more nutritious for your diet compared to store brought fruits.

They are truly fresh, taste much better and is definitely inexpensive.

Gardening gives you a soothing feeling of relaxation and acts as the best stress relief therapy. Imagine observing a new bud blooming or a little vegetable growing, ah what a feeling it is to watch them grow when you are the one who is taking care of them. It’s an absolute stress buster.  

Garden adds to the overall beauty of a house.  It brightens the whole look of that place by adding colorful flowers, filled with full of fragrance, and ensures soothing ambience in that surrounding.

There are other reasons to consider terrace gardening as an important aspect, they reduce the temperature of the building by 6 to 8 degrees of Celsius, less heat absorption and keeps the building cooler. Helps you in saving money. It allows one to regain their mental, physical and spiritual health in the most relaxing and satisfying way.  Terrace garden is more beneficial and helps you to maintain better relationship with the environment.

We tend to make less waste out of these while  gardening because we use almost everything  out of it and make less wastage.
